Available in all materials and in any size up to a maximum of 420mm x 297mm, oval tags can be ordered in 4 standard template sizes or with your own custom dimensions to match your exact needs. Professionally die-cut to a smooth, crisp oval edge, with a standard 3mm drill hole positioned centrally at the top of the tag.

With a minimum order of just 25 and a choice of swing tag materials and finishing options, die cut oval tags work equally well for small-batch artisan products and premium garment ranges.

Choosing your size

Oval swing tags are available in four standard template sizes, with custom dimensions cut to order up to a maximum of 420mm x 297mm. Select from the standard sizes or enter your own custom dimensions directly in the calculator, both can be ordered online. All sizes come with a fixed 3mm drill hole, positioned centrally at the top of the tag, or a 4mm drill hole when an eyelet is selected; the curved shape does not allow for alternative drill hole positions. If you need a different drill hole size, choose the Custom shape option in the calculator.

Choosing the right material

The full range of materials is available for oval hang tags. Standard Silk is the most popular choice, smooth, full-colour print-ready, and cost-effective from 25 tags. Brown Kraft and Recycled board are widely used for food, beverage, and eco-conscious product ranges. Textured stock is sourced from sustainably managed forests and is fully recyclable, giving it strong environmental credentials alongside a premium tactile finish. Foiled and Metallic options are popular for premium gift products and garment tags. Waterproof polyester film is tear-proof and suited to outdoor products. Frosted film gives a semi-translucent premium finish suited to cosmetics and high-end gifting. Laminated (matt or gloss) provides excellent durability for tags that will be handled repeatedly.

Single or double-sided printing

Oval tags can be printed single or double-sided. Single-sided printing is the most cost-effective option and works well when all the information you need fits on one side. Double-sided printing makes the most of the tag, ideal for displaying branding on the front with ingredients, care instructions, or product information on the reverse.

How to get the best print results

Oval swing tags are printed using full-colour CMYK or white ink on your chosen material. Supply artwork at a minimum resolution of 300dpi at the final print size. Download the artwork template for your chosen size from the Template Downloads tab or the oval tag templates page; each template includes the oval cut line, bleed area, and drill hole position. Keep critical content at least 3mm from the cut edge. 4pt is the minimum text size we can print for legibility; 8pt or above reads most clearly after printing and cutting. Note that oval tags have no corners, so the full printable area within the oval boundary is available for your design.

Finishing options

Oval tags are professionally die-cut for a smooth, crisp edge as standard. Strings are available in 11 options, including natural cotton twine, jute twine, and snap-lock strings, attached or supplied individually. Eyelets are available in black, gold, and silver to reinforce the drill hole; when an eyelet is selected, a 4mm drill hole is used. Without an eyelet, the drill hole is fixed at 3mm, positioned centrally at the top of the tag, the ideal diameter for use with a Kimble gun and nylon fastener.
